White is a nice neutral color that can enhance a model and make it look more veteran'd than others or even a different look to an army that you plan on making. Some people may have this problem if your army is entirely white or you are accenting a part of some models with white, which is keeping it CLEAN!

Some things to consider are:
- If you are using the same paint brush for every color that can be a horrible thing for when you paint white. There may not be any paint remaining from your brush once you have cleaned it in your water jar, but your water still has pigment floating around in it!
- What I have done and hope you consider is having two jars of water so that your colors are used in one and white is exclusively used in the other. This prevents color from bleeding from the brush onto the model when painting.
- If you are still getting dirty or discoloration on white areas you could be transferring the paint from your fingers to that part. You could be extra careful or wear rubber gloves, but in the end, you probably have to paint over it again to keep it bright.
- Finally, I highly recommend getting yourself a matte clear Acrylic sealer. You can find this in craft stores or in a hardware section to keep the whites from getting discolored over time from handling model to model and dirt too. This step is ONLY used at the VERY end once everything is either about to be based or has already been based (such as with one of the printable base sheets that I have on this site.) You may need to do several passes to ensure a thin durable coat without getting thick.
